Extrapolating it to 2030, the global economy can be affected by a loss of $8.5 trillion (11% of the projected global GDP). Amidst this looming global talent shortage of 85 million by 2030, the world is looking at India to cater to its talent needs as 65% of India’s population is in the working age. The service sector shows promising employment opportunities, particularly in digital services, financial services, health, hospitality, consumer retail, global capability centers, renewable energy, e-commerce, MSMEs, and the startup ecosystem. These sectors could potentially create over 100 million new jobs by 2030. But are we ready? The Economic Survey 2024-25 paints a picture of declining unemployment in India, but also highlights some concerns related to unemployability and the quality of jobs. As we look towards 2030, India faces a complex and evolving employment landscape. Despite significant strides in economic growth and development, the issue of unemployability remains a critical challenge. The 2019 report from UNICEF indicates that at least 47% of Indian youth will not possess the education and skills necessary for employment by 2030.

In such a situation, Cloud Counselage Pvt.
